PG 1
Constant Hanger Supports
Constant Effort Supports are engineered to carry piping and equipment loads while maintaining an essentially constant supporting force throughout large vertical movements caused by thermal expansion, contraction, or operational changes.
These supports are specified where load variation from variable spring supports is unacceptable, and where critical lines such as high-temperature steam, process, and offshore flow lines require precise load control to minimize stress on the piping system and connected equipment.
Key Features
- Designed for large vertical travel with minimal load deviation (typically within ±5%, optional ±2%)
- High load capacity suitable for heavy process and utility lines
- Integral locking and balancing mechanism for safe installation, hydrotest, and maintenance
- Site load adjustment capability without loss of travel range
- Maintenance-free PTFE bearing surfaces for smooth movement
- Robust corrosion protection with coated springs and galvanized components
- Available in multiple suspension and base-mounted configurations to suit layout constraints
Constant Effort Supports ensure reliable load management, improved system safety, and long service life in demanding industrial environments.
PG 2
Variable Spring Supports
Variable Spring Supports are designed to support piping and equipment while allowing controlled vertical movement due to thermal expansion and operational displacement. They provide a supporting force that varies within a calculated and acceptable range as the pipe moves.
These supports are widely used in process, power, and utility piping systems where movement is moderate and where a small load variation can be tolerated without inducing excessive stress into the piping or connected equipment.
Key Features
- Designed for calculated vertical travel with controlled spring rate
- Load variation maintained within industry-accepted limits (typically up to 25%)
- Compact and economical solution for most piping applications
- Preset and locked for easy installation and hydrotest condition
- Simple visual travel scale for inspection and commissioning
- Available in top, bottom, and base-mounted configurations
- Durable construction with corrosion-protected components
Variable Spring Supports provide an efficient and reliable solution for managing thermal movement while maintaining adequate support to the piping system.

PG 3
Rigid Struts & Snubbers (Dynamic Restraints)
Rigid Struts and Snubbers are restraint devices used to control unwanted piping movement and protect critical systems from dynamic and occasional loads such as vibration, seismic activity, water hammer, and wind forces.
Rigid Struts are designed to restrain movement in one direction while allowing thermal movement in other directions. They act as structural members that provide directional rigidity and are commonly used to control sway, limit displacement, and stabilize long pipe runs.
Snubbers are dynamic restraint devices that allow slow thermal movement of piping during normal operation but instantly lock under sudden dynamic events. This makes them essential for protecting piping systems and connected equipment from shock loads without restricting thermal expansion.
Key Features
- Controls vibration, sway, and excessive displacement
- Allows thermal movement while restraining dynamic loads
- Suitable for seismic, water hammer, and surge protection applications
- Available in mechanical and hydraulic designs
- Heavy-duty construction for critical industrial services
- Configurable for horizontal and vertical installations
Rigid Struts and Snubbers enhance piping system safety, stability, and reliability under both normal and abnormal operating conditions.
PG 4
Pipe Clamps & Ancillaries
Pipe Clamps and Ancillaries form the essential interface between the pipe and its supporting system, ensuring secure load transfer, correct alignment, and long-term stability of the piping network.
Pipe clamps are designed to firmly grip the pipe while accommodating insulation requirements, temperature effects, and operational loads. Ancillary components such as rods, clevises, turnbuckles, beam attachments, brackets, and connectors complete the support assembly and enable proper connection to the supporting structure.
Key Features
- Secure load transfer from pipe to support structure
- Suitable for insulated and non-insulated lines
- Designed for high temperature, cryogenic, and process applications
- Available in various sizes and configurations for different pipe diameters
- Heavy-duty construction with corrosion-protected finishes
- Compatible with variable, constant, and rigid support systems
Pipe Clamps and Ancillaries ensure reliable installation, proper load distribution, and overall integrity of the piping support arrangement.

PG 5
Easislide Low Friction Bearings
Easislide Low Friction Bearings are designed to allow smooth axial movement of piping systems caused by thermal expansion while minimizing frictional resistance between the pipe support and the supporting structure.
These bearings are typically used at sliding supports, guides, and base supports where controlled movement is essential to prevent stress build-up in the piping system and connected equipment.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Low Friction Performance – PTFE or similar materials provide smooth sliding with minimal load.
- Wide Temperature Range – Operates from –200°C to +400°C.
- Chemical Resistance – Suitable for a variety of organic and inorganic chemicals.
- Durable & Maintenance-Free – Long-lasting, requires no lubrication.
- Compact & Versatile Design – Fits into restricted spaces and allows on-site installation.
- Custom & Standard Options – Available in standard designs or tailored for specific applications.
- Reliable Global Track Record – Successfully used in pipelines, industrial structures, and complex installations worldwide.
PTFE/Stainless Steel Bearings:
- Low friction coefficients (<0.05 virgin PTFE, <0.07 filled) under high pressures.
- Large stainless steel backing ensures full contact with PTFE, preventing edge damage.
- Can tolerate small particle embedment without performance loss.
PG 6
Comlin Isolation Products
